Troop Activities
Here in Troop 238, we have a diverse range of activities to perform. Here are a few:
Every few months, the entire troop works on a merit badge, voted on by the troop. Some we have done in the past are Personal Management and Law.
Every month, we have a troop camping trip, usually located at Council-sponsored campsites such as Camp Guyasuta, Twin Echo, and Heritage Reservation. Activities during said trips include merit badges at Camp Liberty, C.O.P.E. (consisting of teambuilding exercises), rope courses, and canoeing.
We host meetings every Tuesday inside Ave Maria Academy’s Bryson Hall, teaching subjects such as flag tactics, knife and fire safety, and camping skills. Afterwards, we usually play an action-packed game of wallball outside (weather permitting, of course).
